SMPLSRVC App

SMPLSRVC is an app idea that I’ve been working on after hours for the past year and a half. As somebody who enjoys wrenching on cars, I came up with the idea and design for an application that makes managing automotive service simpler. I’ve designed the UI/UX of the application, built a lead generation website, and am working on the first working prototype coming early 2022.

BRANDING & LOGOS

The SMPLSRVC Brand

Since smplsrvc is centered around simplifying working on your car, I wanted to keep the brand minimal. The S, featuring three key colors, represent the 3 key pieces to making the app work. Yellow = fueling up, every time you fill your tank, the odometer updates and tracks progress toward maintenance intervals. Red = service, every time you change your oil, replace your air filter, you log the current odometer reading and desired interval. Blue = your garage, these features go beyond one car, manage your whole fleet with confidence. Its automotive service made simple.

VIDEO & MOTION DESIGN

Sharing the Concept

A picture is worth a thousand words, so I figured 30 pictures a second for a minute or so would accurately share why I’m so excited about this concept! I used my fully developed UI designs and generated renderings of a phone in After Effects to share the concept, and edited this little demo reel in Adobe Premiere. Great way to share a “sizzle reel” to get people amped up.

WEBSITE DESIGN

Lead Generation

The smplsrvc website is designed to be a tiered approach to app web design. In its current state, it serves as a lead generator, attracting future users to join a mailing list to be notified of launch. When the app goes live, it will serve as the hosting area for all blog posts and tutorial videos. Eventually, I plan to build out a website dashboard so users can log in to their account for an extended desktop experience. This site was completely designed by me using WPBakery in Wordpress.
